Have your insurance card available at each visit. Any applicable copays and deductibles will be due before your visit. Remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. Some companies pay a fixed allowance for certain procedures while others pay a percentage of the charge.
