Bio Headshot for Laurie Silicato, PA-C in Chandler, Arizona

Laurie Silicato’s Story

Laurie Silicato was born and raised in Visalia, CA. Visalia is in Tulare County which, for those who did not already know, is the second largest agricultural producer in the United States. She grew up on a ranch hunting, fishing and riding horses, and had chicken, roosters, cows and peacocks. From the time Laurie was a little girl, she knew she wanted to care for people.

“I love learning what makes people function, and empowering my patients to take responsibility for their own care.”

Laurie emphasizes the importance of preventative care in her work with patients. Doing simple routine screenings can give an individual the chance to live a longer, happier, healthier life. She feels successful when she sees her patients out in the community with their families, living their lives. For her, it is truly exciting to be part of a community like we share in the East Valley and have the amazing opportunity to care for the families in it.

When Laurie meets with patients, she lets them know that she is fully aware that everyone has a past. That past has led them to where they are now, good or bad. In the next breath she communicates that what each person does next is what matters the most. She hopes that each person is honest with her so she understands what to do in order to help that person get to their best possible future.

Outside of the office, Laurie makes being active as a family a high priority. Her family goes to the gym 5-6 days a week so the kids can see that it is possible to exercise daily, no matter how busy they are. Laurie and her family participate in outdoor activities, whether it’s an after dinner walk, playing in the park or an evening game of baseball. It is important to Laurie that her kids are active every day.

What Laurie Silicato, PA-C, Wants You to Know About Her

“I believe I work for my patients. It is my job to help you get better, but not by just giving you medications. I want to help you understand what it is that we are treating, how and what you can do to help yourself get better and why we have chosen a specific medication or treatment. I don’t feel like my job is done until each patient understands and believes in what I am doing for them.”
