You have many appointments you need to schedule alongside the start of a new school year – one of those appointments is a physical if school sports are a thing in your family.
Healthcare for every generation means offering the exams you need, when you need them but also examining your past with your present in order to get a handle on the future.
Every participant on a school sports team is required to complete a pre-participation physical examination, also called sports physicals.
What Student Athletes Can Expect
Sports physicals at Warner Family Practice consist of two parts: a medical history and physical examination. Our goal is to evaluate an athlete’s general health, current fitness level, risk of injury and physical well-being.
You can expect our team to go beyond your average Urgent Care Clinic exam or school on site exam, as we will cover:
- Cholesterol and blood sugar screen with a simple finger prick.
- Thorough medical and family history screening
- Physical exam
- Immunizations (if necessary)
