This past recent January, our very own Dr. DeLorenzi ran, for the fifth\u00a0time in the P.F. Changs Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll Arizona Marathon and \u00bd Marathon as part of Team Diabetes.<\/p>\n
Team Diabetes is comprised by individuals who sign up to run the marathon or \u00bd marathon to earn money for the American Diabetes Association. Recently, Dr. DeLorenzi was invited to join the Team Diabetes Committee at the American Diabetes Association and has is looking forward to that appointment.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy father has severe side effects from long standing Diabetes Mellitus that has affected our entire family. Also, I treat people everyday who struggle with this disease. By running (and next year being a part of the organizing committee) I am helping to raise money for a cause I believe in. I feel I am modeling good lifestyle habits to my friends, family, and patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been very touched by the fact that part of the money that we earn goes to help fund the annual summer camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, who can\u2019t participate in traditional camps due to their disease.\u201d<\/p>\n
We are incredibly proud of Dr. DeLorenzi and are excited to continue to support her as she gives her energy to a cause that is so important for Warner Family Practice, our patients and the community of individuals who battle Diabetes every day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
